Last Light, Auckland

Taken at the end of the day along Tāmaki Drive, this image captures Auckland as the city slips into silhouette. The light was extraordinary — a deep golden glow settling behind the skyline — and I had my Fuji X100 tucked into my laptop bag, ready for moments exactly like this.

The clean outline of the city against the fading sky strips the scene back to form and tone, turning a familiar view into something quieter and more graphic.
