Between lights

I captured this photograph in Dakar, Senegal, during a month living and working there.

It was an intense period — my first experience consulting, far from home, far from my young family. Long days, unfamiliar rhythms, and a lot of mental noise.

Photography became my way out.

This image was intentional. No tripod. Always moving. I wanted to stay inside the energy of the street rather than observe it from a distance.

The heat hangs in the air.
The lights don’t sit still.
Nothing fully resolves — and that’s the point.

For me, this photograph captures what it feels like to move through a city that carries its own momentum. You don’t slow it down. You adjust to it.

Hung in a room, I want this image to bring warmth, motion, and a different perspective — a reminder that not everything needs to be sharp to be felt.
