Commuter Tribe

Taken in Sydney on my way into the office.

Three escalators. Three directions. Three individuals, each absorbed in their own moment. No one looking at each other. All moving.

What struck me was the choreography of it. The geometry of steel and glass. The repetition of lines. And within that structure, the quiet ritual of the commuter tribe — headphones in, phones out, thoughts elsewhere.

We move up. We move down. We cross paths without meeting.

There’s something both beautiful and slightly confronting in that rhythm. The order of it. The detachment of it. The shared but separate journey.

This piece works well in modern offices, hallways, or urban apartments — spaces where clean lines and strong composition can hold attention. It brings structure and narrative at the same time.
