This photograph was taken just after 8am, out on the lake with the boys during one of those early summer wakeboarding sessions.

The water was still cold. The light low and directional. Everything felt sharper at that hour — quieter, but charged. What I love here is the contrast: the darkness behind, the explosion of light and spray, and the moment suspended mid-air before gravity takes over again.

There’s discipline in this image, but also freedom. The repetition of early starts. The trust in the rope. The brief weightlessness before impact. It’s summer distilled into a single second — effort, joy, and presence all colliding.

This image holds energy. It works best in spaces that can carry movement and contrast — offices, studios, or living spaces where you want a sense of momentum without noise.
