Mist Holding the Bay

This photograph was taken at Iveagh Bay, Lake Brunner, just as the sun began to lift but before it arrived.

Mist moved slowly across the trees. The mountain sat half-revealed. The lake was still enough to hold reflection without trying to perfect it. Everything felt paused — the kind of quiet that exists only at the very start of the day.
