Mist Rising

This image was taken on the West Coast near Lake Brunner — where weather, light, and landscape rarely stay still for long.

As the rain moved in, the mountains began to separate into layers. Mist lifted and fell again, revealing depth rather than detail. The light wasn’t dramatic or bright — it was filtered, patient, and fleeting.

What draws me back to moments like this is how quickly they pass. Minutes later, the scene had changed completely. This was the in-between — when the land feels quiet, but full of movement beneath the surface.
