The Quiet Witness

This image was taken in Singapore, inside one of the botanical garden domes.

At first glance, it feels ancient — something pulled from forest and myth.
But it’s also deeply intentional: shaped, placed, and revealed by light.

What stopped me wasn’t just the form, but the expression.
A face emerging from roots and branches.
Animals woven into the structure.
Hands holding a world — not tightly, but carefully.

There was a stillness to the space when I took this.
Soft light filtering through the dome.
People moving quietly, almost instinctively lowering their voices.

It felt like a reminder rather than a spectacle.

This work sits at the intersection of nature and city — organic forms housed within engineered precision.
A place where growth is protected, curated, and given time.

I included this piece because Selected Works needed something older than movement, older than cities, older than trends.

Something that asks you to pause.
